Enhancing the Patient
The Request
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust asked us to enhance the visual experience across multiple hospital departments. The aim was not simply to add signage, but to help patients, visitors, and staff feel supported in navigating often unfamiliar and stressful environments.
The Challenge
The project required careful consideration of both function and sensitivity:
- Clarity and consistency: Signage needed to align with NHS brand standards while remaining easy to understand at a glance.
- Working in live environments: Installations had to be completed with no disruption to hospital operations.
- Durability: Materials and finishes had to withstand a high-traffic healthcare setting.
The Solution
- Comprehensive signage package: Lift wraps, window graphics, directional signage, branded wall vinyls, and welcoming wayfindings were designed and installed.
- Careful installation: Work was carried out around live hospital teams and patients with minimal disruption.
The Outcome
The result was a transformed hospital environment with clear zoning, calm and welcoming spaces, and signage that actively supported patients, staff, and visitors alike. The new visual system delivered both functionality and reassurance in equal measure.
