Colorset - TUI Case Study

Holiday giant Thomson recently appointed graphics and signage company Colorset to complete a full rebrand of their UK sites, when they changed their name to that of their parent company TUI.

Strategically based in Nottingham and London, Colorset were charged with crossing the ‘ T’s ‘ and dotting the ‘ I’s ’ on 466 of Thomson’s UK sites, this huge project involved:

  • Full budget and project management
  • Site surveys of every store
  • Gaining planning and listed building permissions from the local authorities for each site
  • Design, drawings and visuals, formatting each site to ensure they complied with branding guidelines
  • Production of prototypes for technical and visual approval
  • Manufacture of all external signage and internal graphics
  • All installation throughout mainland UK, Ireland, The Channel Islands and The Isle of Wight

Colorset’s designated team managed all of the installations utilising a dedicated FTP site, Smartsheet management programme and use of Whatsapp fitter groups, with images of each completed site going instantly online, for full access to all relevant personnel.

The timescale for this whole project was just 6 months from the initial appointment to completion, with all of the installations to be completed in the last month, an average of 16 sites totally rebranded, inside and out, every night for a month!
